Born and raised in northern Chicago, Liam earned his Bachelors degree from Purdue University. Upon graduation, he moved to
Europe for two years, developing his international business and hospitality experience with Sheraton Hotels and Resorts in
Germany, Austria and Spain. Liam then returned to Chicago to work in his father’s travel business. Clearly inheriting an
entrepreneurial spirit, Liam launched a construction business on Chicago’s North Shore. His penchant for embracing new
challenges was demonstrated again several years later when he sold this business and opened a pizzeria near Spokane,
Washington.
While these varied experiences built Liam’s character and expanded his experience, a bigger dream beckoned, a dream with
roots in Hawaii. Having appeased his travel and entrepreneurial bugs throughout the previous decade, Liam realized in 2004
that it was time to make the move to the Islands. He sought and earned a position on Maui at The Grand Wailea Resort Hotel and
Spa as a Food & Beverage Manager. “This was the best introduction to Maui,”, Liam says of his time at The Grand. “Managing all
of the hotel’s restaurants, I was exposed to hundreds of employees and countless guests from all over the world. I can think
of no better way of being initiated into Maui’s culture.”
After a couple of years at the Grand, Liam decided to follow another dream and enter real estate. Through his construction
business and work in hospitality and property management, Liam realized that he was well suited for a career in real estate.
“I’ve always enjoyed the personal interaction of every job I have ever had. Real estate is all about people and relationships
so it just made sense.” Introduced by a mutual friend to Don McEntire, Liam knew that they would soon be working together.
Liam was looking for an honest and fair real estate professional to mentor him. Liam said, “I could not have imagined a more
perfect scenario. Since moving to Maui and meeting Don I feel that every day is the best day of my life.”
Liam summarized his thoughts by declaring, “Nothing makes me happier than helping other people find their own path to their
dreams. After all, that’s what buying a home on Maui and living here is all about!”
